Government recruitment notices may include important conditions in footnotes, separate instructions or downloadable forms. Read every page before deciding that you qualify.

1. Confirm the closing date

Note both the date and submission method. Online portals can close automatically, while postal applications may need to arrive before the deadline rather than simply be posted that day.

2. Check domicile and quota

Confirm whether the vacancy is open merit, provincial, district, minority, disability or gender quota. A valid domicile or local certificate may be required.

3. Verify age eligibility

Calculate your age on the date specified in the advertisement and check whether a general or departmental relaxation applies.

4. Match the qualification

Review the required subject, division, grade, accreditation and equivalence conditions. Foreign or non-standard qualifications may require an equivalence certificate.

5. Confirm experience requirements

Check whether experience must be post-qualification, full-time, relevant to the role or supported by a formal certificate.

6. Prepare documents

  • CNIC and recent photographs
  • Domicile or local certificate
  • Academic transcripts and degrees
  • Experience certificates
  • NOC for serving employees where required

7. Use the correct fee method

Pay only through the bank, challan, online service or account named in the official notice. Keep the original receipt.

8. Complete every required field

Incomplete forms, unclear scans and inconsistent dates are common reasons for rejection.

9. Save submission evidence

Keep the tracking number, submitted form, courier receipt and payment proof until recruitment is complete.

10. Monitor official updates

Test dates, eligible candidate lists and interview schedules may be announced separately. Continue checking the official recruitment portal after applying.
